Hotel to Room

This past week, the latest issue of Nesting Newbies online magazine was released with a very jam packed issue No 5. One of my favorite features was the "Vacation Inspiration" spread, starting on page 152.  The feature included a hot list of hotels and the furnishings inspired by them to create your own "Hotel to Room."

Check out these great inspiration ideas to recreate that hotel to room look:

I love the glam and color scheme of The Lowes in New Orleans.

The Carlyle in New York has a really great graphic area rug and orange drapery panels, long admired Crate & Barrel's starburst mirror.

The stunning entry of The Fairmont in San Francisco with it's bold color scheme.

Would definitely love to replicate the Greek Key rug and the circle lampshades of this sitting area at the London Marriot.

The Dorchester in London, England - elegant and refined enough to create your own version of this dining room.

I thought it would be fun to do my own little recreation of a hotel and since a Los Angeles based hotel was not included - I thought I would feature one! The Palihouse in West Hollywood is a very chic boutique hotel - and has residences you can actually live in. Furnished residential pied-a-terres are available for six to twelve month stays.

Want to get the Palihouse look?

A Chesterfield sofa from Restoration Hardware.

Block tables from CB2.

Union Jack pillows from Neiman Marcus.

Bertoia barstools from DWR.

What hotel would inspire you as a real room creation?
