Lauren Conrad's Colorful Beverly Hills Penthouse

Lauren Conrad's chic and colorful Beverly Hills penthouse was recently featured in InStyle magazine. Pictured above Lauren sits in her home office on a punchy orange tufted sofa and an area rug seen on the floor made from recycled silk saris.

Continuing with puncy colors is a custom rounded banquette in her breakfast nook complemented by an Eero Saarinen table.

Her high ceiling living room with graphics and a black and white theme is remiscent of an airy New York loft, which she wanted the room to have a feel for.

To add visual interest to the living room, she added moulding and brick veneer, then had it white washed to look more aged!

Her dark mirrored bar includes a black laquered ceiling.

The dining room table and chairs are vintage complemented by a contemporary light fixture.

A classic looking kitchen in all white with open shelves for stacking white dishes.

And the grand finale! Her dressing room closet: A full walk-in wardrobe.

Holiday Window Display at Christopher Guy

The Christopher Guy showroom on Beverly Boulevard, in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District, is in full festive holiday mode. The front windows are decorated with gifts and an elegant white tree among sophisticated Christopher Guy furniture pieces. I happen to pass by the other evening en route to an event and catpured a few pictures of the glam window display.

A view from the sidewalk of the Christopher Guy showroom on Beverly Boulevard.

Christopher Guy's iconic display of a tree, reminiscent of one I saw at Decorex while on Blog Tour London with Modenus.

One of the most elegant and glamourous holiday window displays on Beverly Blvd.

A glimpse into the showroom.

And on the other side is another window display - a complete living room vignette turned facing the street!

Would love your vote for a chance to win a spot on the Ambiente Frankfurt Blog Tour with Modenus, please click "Like" here and check out all the other great holiday window display pictures!

Happy Holidays!

Faring Road Residence, Bel Air

On the market in Bel Air is a 40 million dollar home that I recently had the pleasure of touring on an architectural design tour with Cadillac and Architectural Digest. The home previuosly was occupied by none other than Beyonce and Jay-Z. The contemporary home is comprised of 16,000 sq ft including seven bedroom suites and features high ceilings, glass walls, a two story living room, a home theater, tennis courts, and an infinity pool with ample deck and lounge spaces.

The infinity pool with views of the canyons of Bel Air, a truly private oasis.

The two story high living room with glass walls that open to the pool area.

The outdoor deck.

A modern minimilist kitchen.

The dining room.

Lounge chairs right off the living and dining areas.

The serene infinity pool.

A guest room suite that opens to the pool area too.

On the second level is the master bedroom suite, which includes a large sitting area, office, and walk-in closets.

The master bathroom.

The master bathroom freestanding tub.

It was neat to see Geberit toilets installed in all the bathrooms throughout the house.

Views of the pool from the second level.

Thank you to Cadillac and Architectural Digest for inviting me to attend this amazing tour.
