We came, we saw, and we sure did exerience: what happens on Blog Tour NYC gets put all over social media. A few days of whirlwind activities and this blog tour was no exception: cocktail parties, dinner parties, Wanted Design, Kips Bay Showhouse, a private designer residence tour, a meet & greet with NousDecor, an afternoon at ICFF with Mr. Steam and Wilsonart, an exclusive party at MOMA, the High Line walk with Mr. Steam, an intimate dinner with DXV, a private showroom visit to Donghia, and a farewell dinner at the L'Ecole International Culinary Center. Just to summarize.
The best part? A great team. Hosted by Veronika of Modenus, her continued efforts and hard work coordinating one succesful blog tour after another came through again for this tour and I was beyond thrilled to be included as one of the most international groups of bloggers ever as part of Blog Tour NYC. To meet the great group of bloggers that I got to know and bond with personally, visit: Meet The Bloggers
In the coming days, I will be featuring some one on one posts covering the events we attended and the sponsors who all made Blog Tour happen. For now, I thought I would start off with some highlights of a glimpse into my Blog Tour NYC.
And be sure to follow Modenus on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest for recaps from all the bloggers - we all have much to share!
First things first: checking into the CitizenM Hotel Times Square (a unique boutique hotel concept conveniently located just off Broadway). Staying here was all very deja vu for me as I had stayed at their London location while on Blog Tour London.
Straight from check in and it was rooftop at the CitizenM to join my fellow bloggers for cocktails before leaving for the first of many events kicking off Blog Tour NYC.
And one of those many events was a cocktail reception at the DXV showroom in Manhattan. The highlight for me was reconnecting with my Blog Tour London Besties (from left): Jennifer, Cheryl, me, and Lynn. It was fun to see the gang!
The next day, we started off our morning with a vist to Wanted Design. Why the boys? Well, just out of the car, a dozen girls, and the next thing you know these two boys (who just happen to be standing in front of the signage) end up being asked to stand and smile. Makes for a good picture after all.
We spent much of that first day traversing the bustling streets of Manhattan: from Wanted Design to the Kips Bay Showhouse and then to a late afternoon cocktail reception at the Scott Sanders designed Printing Press apartment.
On our next morning, we attended a breakfast presentation with Blog Tour NYC sponsor, NousDecor. Here's me, Veronika, and my fave PR person ever, Andrew Joseph (Oh the places we've been together! LA, London, NYC, Vegas!)
Hitting the streets: the BlogTourettes gather for a selfie before making our way up to ICFF (L-R: me, Annabel, Ann, Kimberly).
While at ICFF, it was fun to see my LA friend Ginna exhibiting for Woven Accents. Here's us standing in front of a Gregory Siff designed rug.
That evening, we attended a party at MOMA in conjunction with ICFF. Our group, L-R: Susan, Kathy, Carole, Ann, Anya, me, Iris, Annabel, and Linda.
The next morning, with gorgeous weather, we took a walk on the High Line with our friend (rather, like family) Martha of Blog Tour supporter, Mr. Steam. Here's a street view from the High Line.
Taking a little detour from Blog Tour NYC activities, Veronika and I met up with Messe Frankfurt for a late brunch at The High Line Hotel. It was fun to see this very charming hotel, too.
That same evening, we had an intimate dinner hosted by DXV at Bar Americain restuarant in Manhattan. (With Annabel and Anya both to my right.)
In between amazing events and dinners, there was free time to wander the streets of NYC. On our final day, fellow Blog Tour NYC pal Ann and I made our way through the streets of Lower Manhattan: checking out the Bowery and SoHo as we made our way to the New York Design Center for an afternoon visit to the Christopher Guy showroom. Here's a view from Washington Square Park on an absolute gorgeous day.
Our final and farewell dinner was a multi-course (and multi-wine tasting) sit down dinner (along with a tour!) of the L'Ecole International Culinary Center. It was quite THE experience and I am craving to go back.
And with that, we thank Veronika for everything: #BlogTourNYC inscripted in wood. The hashtag of all hashtags. Thanks for another memorable experience!
