Legends of La Cienega 2010: The Window Vignettes

As part of the "Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Hollywood" event taking place this past week in Los Angeles, interior designers and set decorators have created window vignettes on display at the participating showrooms.  Each vignette pays tribute to the silver screen or television honoring a movie or tv show. Take a look:

Elle Decor "Legends of La Cienega" Kick Off Party

This past Thursday evening I attended the Elle Decor cocktail party to kick off the start of the two day events for "Legends of La Cienega."  The gala took place at the Therien showroom on La Cienega where I met up with fellow blogger Christian May of Maison21 to enjoy an evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres, and the guest of honor: Margaret Russell, editor-in-chief of Elle Decor magazine.

H.D. Buttercup Anniversary Sales Event

H.D. Buttercup in Los Angeles will be having a five year anniversary event starting Wednesday, May 5th-Sunday, May 9th.  Five days long to check out all their great finds including sofas, tables, lighting, chairs, artwork, linens, and rugs from Stark Carpet!

Legends of La Cienega 2010

The second annual "Legends of La Cienega" event is being held May 6-8 with this year's theme being "Celebrate Hollywood."  The event is being hosted by the shops and showrooms that line La Cienega Boulevard (between San Vicente Blvd on the south and Santa Monica Blvd on the north) known as the "La Cienega Design Quarter."  Elle Decor magazine is a national sponsor of the event, while regional magazines such as C Magazine, Angeleno Interiors, California Homes & Luxe Interiors+Design provide local media sponsorship.

Missoni Home Collection

Recently Missoni opened a new flagship store at North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  I drive by all the time as it is on the way to my po box. The first time I saw the exterior I was in awe of the architectural siding of the building, very textural.  It was also featured in the May issue of Elle Decor.

I even took a picture of it from the car one day.

The Beverly Hills store also carries the Missoni Home Collection along with their fashion line.
