Off The Wall
Wall applications can be a fun way to add a bold statement to a room or an accent wall. If you are open to making a statement check out some of these "off the wall" ideas!
Well, in this case - not just for a room or an accent wall...but an exterior wall! Wall & Deco's papers can coat exterior building surfaces, including cement, wood, and tile. The waterproof, fire-retardant wallpapers are made of a fiberglass fabric especially for Outdoor Unconventional Texture (OUT).
Paint splattered walls - seeing more and more of this, whether you want to do it yourself or hire an artist, the idea is certainly fun and daring.
Wall decals can always be a quick solution and less permanent. There are many companies that offer a range of colors, numbers, letters, patterns, and collections. Check out What Is Blik for an artful assortment.
Lighting designer Ingo Maurer collaborated with Architects Paper to create the first LED wallpaper – a wall covering equipped with hundreds of LED lights, which can brighten up a room to the equivalent of a 60-watt bulb. The blue, red, and white LED lights use 90% less electricity than a standard lightbulb. Available through architects-paper.com.
Smelly stickers are a thing of the past...now there's scented wallpaper from Flavor Paper, a Brooklyn based company. The banana design is a nod to pop art but you can actually purchase an unscented version. Check out the website for more fun designs.

Courtney Cox and her Malibu Retreat!
Courtney Cox's private home in Malibu is if anything, absolutely stunning! The home was designed by architect Michael Kovac, of Kovac Architects, and the interiors by designer Trip Haenisch. Above, Courtney stands next to a painting by Harland Miller.
In the kitchen sitting area, the cocktail table is from Minotti, floor lamp from Christian Liagre, and the sofa / armchairs were custom designed.
Sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean can be seen from the living room seating.
A modern beachy kitchen in white.
The outdoor terraces and gardens overlook the ocean.
A custom-made banquette surrounds a teak-and-steel lava-rock fire pit.
The master bedroom includes a custom made headboard and footboard made of zinc.

A tiny powder room sheathed in white oak.
The screening room has it's own seperate custom made kitchen, of stainless steel cabinets.

Chic Office Spaces
Looking for some office design inspiration? Look no further than these great spaces - whether for a home office or an office building. These go beyond any mundane cubicle! Happy Monday!
Built-ins and oversizes chairs, comfort and work great in a dual household.
Super chic - check out that lucite bookcase!
Minimal and clutter free, with built-ins and touch latch cabinets plus a daybed makes this room optimal to double as a guest bedroom too.
Even if your living room has to double as an office space, facing the desk to the room and choosing a desk that looks good in the space makes it not so obvious.
This attic space is great for creative clutter!
Add a little drama with a colorful chandelier, graphic wallpaper, and a bold colored side chair.
Jazz it up with fun patterns like chevron stripes on both the chair and the rug.
Face to face desks are great space savers, add a gallery wall for art.
